In 2003, Michael Collins was arrested and charged with 191 counts of breaking and entering in the downtown Wilmington, N.C., area, a series of crimes he committed to support a 15-year crack cocaine addiction. After serving eight years of a nine year prison sentence, he is filled with optimism and determined to make up the time he lost to both prison and addiction.
