At the corner of 2nd & Grace sits a vacant lot. And a ragtag band of friends from downtown Wilmington have turned it into their playground. At least twice a week, cycling advocates gather to burn some rubber playing bike polo.

The group is known as Port City Polo. Chris Barber, a member of PCP, reflects on the community that bike polo provided at a time when he lost hope.
