Marion Jones opened Jones Country Store in downtown Sylva ten years ago to get his antique collection out of his house. Since then the store has become a hub for local people and their stories. Every day Jones’ friends and visitors from around the country sit in a circle of rocking chairs where tales and jokes are told. No one can prove the truth of the stories, so he calls it the liar’s bench.
