Dre Rhinehart, 18, senior at Hickory High School, remains resilient in a life filled with obstacles. After his mom’s death in 2017, Dre reflected on how short life can be and used his mom’s wisdom to motivate him to follow his dreams.
Dre will be the first in his family to go to college after graduating from Hickory High School this June. He is extremely passionate about football and will play as a receiver for Guilford College.
As some of his friends choose darker paths, Dre keeps his eye on the prize and chooses to surround himself with those that support his endeavors.
Dre Rhinehart, 18, is determined to do big things in life. After graduating high school in June, Dre will be headed to college to pursue football and business. As the first in his family to attend college, Dre says he owes is all to his Mom who passed away almost a year ago. She encouraged him to follow his dreams and never be afraid to stand out. | 05.16.2018
Dre Rhinehart's mother passed away on August 25, 2017. He got this tattoo in honor of her life and everything she taught him. "Everytime I see it I just think about her. Think about all of our memories... what she wanted me to do," Rhinehart said. | 05.16.2018
Dre is determined to live a life of success. His definition of success stems from the wisdom he recieved from his mother. "Her dying it kinda does fuel me like I do want to do something big for her," Dre said. | 5.17.2018
