Deep Grooves 

Barry Walker was born into a family of musicians, but he struggled to find his place in it for years. It wasn’t until he picked up a double bass in his 50s that playing clicked for him. More than a decade later, he’s an accomplished musician and a fundamental part of his band, Junction 280. Retired, Barry now savors every day and has built up a community around local music in Hendersonville. At family gatherings he no longer feels like the outlier, having finally found the music that he’s meant to play. Traveling and practicing with his band, Barry plans to play for the rest of his life.
