CPJW

Since 2004, Carolina Photojournalism Workshop has provided students with an immersive experience to produce films that capture life around the Carolinas. Students work alongside coaches who currently work professionally in the field. This year, a group of 8 students traveled to Asheville, N.C. to document life after Hurricane Helene.

Pat Davison wanted to create an experience for his students that would allow them to gain hands-on experience with their studies in the classroom. That is when CPJW began. Each year, a new team of students travels together on a one-week trip to a town in North Carolina to explore its heritage and culture.
