The Coffee Shop, established in 1926, is the oldest restaurant in Sylva, NC. In 1985, Gary Gibson purchased the restaurant and he and his family now run it. Most famous for their homemade pies, the restaurant specializes in southern cooking like momma used to make. Everyone that enters The Coffee Shop is treated like they’re just another Gibson. The walls are covered with traces of the past and the smell of homemade cooking fills each and every corner of the restaurant. It is a town staple and social hub for the residents of Sylva.
