Disgrace to Dignity

By Jason Armond

After spending several years in and out of prison, Rev. Longcrier is now the Chaplin at Catawba Correctional Center, the very same prison where he was an inmate.

As founder and Executive Director of Exodus Homes, a transitional and permanent supportive network for homeless recovering addicts, alcoholics and formerly incarcerated, Rev. Longcrier infectious personality and selfless works have made him much loved in the community. Catie Brown, recovering addict and Executive Assistant at Exodus Homes credits Rev. Longcrier and Exodus Homes for saving her life. Knowing first-hand the daily struggles that come with addiction and incarceration, both Catie and Rev. Longcrier have made it their mission to help others navigate from disgrace to dignity.
