The Carolina Photojournalism Workshop was founded in 2004. Each year a group of UNC multimedia students travel to a unique part of our state to produce a documentary website in a week. Students work tirelessly with some of the finest professionals in the industry. In the Roanoke River Valley area, we found special stories of the people that make our state great, and we would like to thank everyone in the area for welcoming us.
We would also like to thank the UNC School of Media and Journalism and the UNC Institute for the Environment for sponsoring us all these years. Want to delve into our archive of North Carolina culture? Check out the links below for our award-winning projects dating back to 2004.
