18 years.

200+ documentaries.

X unique locations.

2:1 student-to-coach ratio.

Since 2004, the Carolina Photojournalism Workshop has captured life in unique locations across the Carolinas. Every year, students from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill embed themselves in local communities for a week to produce a documentary website with the guidance of professional coaches.

Where Rivers Meet focuses on cultural development in Asheville, Black Mountain, and surrounding communities. In response to changing demographic and economic factors, existing and new residents alike are creating new ways of living that merge past and present.
