The Ocean Crest Pier, located on Oak Island in North Carolina is a community within a community. From king mackerel fishing to surf fishing, to tackle rigging lessons on the end of the pier, everything is centered on the people. Dave Cooper, who took over in 2001 has focused on building a safe, friendly environment for people to come and fish, or even hang out and get to know each other.
