On Bald Head Island off the coast of North Carolina, accessible only by passenger ferry, the residents have established a secluded place where they can choose their own pace. In a community of 200 permanent residents, primarily retired professionals, they seek the comforting solitude and relaxation found by pursuing their passions. Only golf carts and bicycles are allowed for transportation.
