Uniting summer tourists and business commuters since 1965, the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry crosses the Cape Fear River 32 times a day. The seemingly monotonous job of going back and forth the Intercoastal Waterway is quite the opposite. Anything can happen aboard. Whether it be the entertaining events, beautiful scenery and wildlife, or people they meet, crew and ferry riders keep coming back.
