Byron “Barry” Bey first moved to the North Carolina coast as a musician looking to play around the beach scene, but in a twist of fate landed a gig as a teacher instead. He has since developed an award-winning aquaculture program at South Brunswick High School in Southport, North Carolina, and continues to win many accolades for his impressive strides in teaching, while still finding time for his music.
